The Executive Decision: Selling My Yaris, Buying a New Perspective
So boom! On July 5th, 2025, I made the executive decision to sell my beloved 2015 Toyota Yaris to fund a 6-week trip to Thailand EXPEDITIOUSLY.
This wasn’t just an escape from the boring dysfunctions of American living.
I needed to be in my element to embody my role as a Strategy Executive and eventual full-time traveling Artist.
My Unintentional Research: Mapping Workcation Queenship Across 6 Phuket Hotels
I’m presenting to you the Workcation Queenship I uncovered and unintentionally “researched” while hopping across 5 beach towns on the island of Phuket.
My Hotel stays include:
The Bell Airport Hotel near Naiyang Beach
Bangtao Villa Resort near Bangtao Beach
The Park Surin near Surin Beach (I didn’t visit this beach because I got VERY comfy and was recovering from “Traveler’s Diarrhea”)
Wabi Sabi Boutique Hotel near Kamala Beach
Sunrise Serenity Phuket Resort near Karon Beach
Ruentai Boutique Hotel near Phuket International Airport
Why This Was More than a “Vacation” — It was Restorative Escapism
People who don’t go nowhere important or only runaway from their problems project their limited nonsense onto travel.

I believe in Restorative Escapism: it’s an opportunity to remove external noise that can impede the development of new perspectives on living. In my case, relocating to Phuket, Thailand relaxed my frazzled nervous system to give me a better perspective on Work.
Typically when I’ve left my hometown Baltimore, Maryland, people always ask me how my “vacation” was.
As a self-employed Woman doing Work that I enjoy, I don’t ever really feel like I’m “off” from the Work. I’m constantly getting ideas, having conversations and dabbling with concepts.
In My Element: Kendrick Lamar and a New Business Model
So I bring this back to “needing to be in my element.”
When I arrived at my 1st hotel visit of 6 on July 20th, I whipped out my portable bluetooth speaker from my luggage and blasted “ELEMENT.” by Kendrick Lamar.
Give or take my swollen rhythmless legs from flying for 40+ hours, I got into a dancing and rapping frenzy as I was excited to work!
This gave shaped my unique angle for creating Travel UGC: I help Hotels, Amtrak, Airlines and more book more Business Women who travel Solo (be they entrepreneurs, digital nomads, remote employees, C-suite employees or business owners).
In particular, I spotlight how to master Work-Life Balance and devise leisurely Workflows during one’s global jaunts.
Environment matters for getting your best work done.
Structure doesn’t have to be this rigid limitation that stales your visit to whichever location. And relaxation doesn’t have to be eaten away by unnecessary guilt and poor boundaries.
